Tesla unveils first V4 Supercharging station in Southeast Asia at IOI malls in Putrajaya & Puchong

KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla has today launched its first V4 supercharging station in Southeast Asia at two locations simultaneously, IOI City Mall and IOI Mall Puchong.

With a total of eight V4 superchargers and two destination chargers, they are equipped with a longer cable, providing easy access for all Tesla electric vehicles.

"V4 currently supports peak rates of up to 250kW per vehicle, Model 3 Long Range can recharge up to 282 kilometres (km) in 15 minutes and is future-proofed to allow for updates and new features," it said.

By establishing a comprehensive ownership experience, Tesla aims to provide a comprehensive charging solution and a seamless Tesla experience with technology.

With the Tesla App, it said users can view availability, navigate to, and monitor charge status of superchargers.

"The supercharging payments are automatically processed from the payment method in the Tesla App, this empowers Tesla owners to enjoy the freedom of travel and ease of charging without hassle.

"The pay-per-use supercharging fee makes Tesla's charging one of the most cost-efficient charging methods in the market, at a rate of RM1.25/kWh," it added.

As of today, Tesla has opened 10 supercharging stations (48 superchargers) and 11 destination charging stations (57 chargers) in Malaysia.
