Chinese New Year Comes Alive Across IOI Malls This Year Of The Horse
IOI Malls is celebrating the Year of the Horse across IOI City Mall, IOI Mall Puchong, IOI Mall Damansara, and IOI Mall Kulai. Running until February 22 2026, the season blends culture, performances, workshops, and community activities into experiences that go beyond shopping.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Year of the Horse with a season that celebrates connection,” says Chris Chong, IOI Properties Chief Operating Officer of Property Investment (Malaysia). Visitors can expect decorations, festive markets, hampers, treats, and traditional apparel across all four malls.
IOI City Mall: Journey to Prosperity
IOI City Mall kicks off its “Journey to Prosperity” with ‘Trojan’, a large horse sculpture by local artist Kaiyi Wong (@unrealitykai).
The mall’s line-up includes Wushu demonstrations, 24 Majestic Drums, and acrobatic Lion & Dragon Dances from Khuan Loke Lion & Dragon Dance Association, famous for their 32ft pole jumps.
Families can join the Hanfu Experience with Instax Fujifilm photography via the Club IOI app on weekends and public holidays from January 31 to February 19. Wantan Bento Making Workshops add a hands-on activity for all ages.

IOI Mall Puchong: 8 Virtues of Prosperity
At IOI Mall Puchong, prosperity is represented through Kaiyi Wong’s “The 8 Virtues” installation, highlighting loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, love, trust, righteousness, harmony, and peace.
The mall also hosts performances by the multi-award-winning Kwong Ngai Lion Dance, arts and crafts workshops for children, and a Tea Appreciation Workshop for adults.
On January 25, around 300 students aged 7–12 will take part in a Calligraphy Competition co-organised with Persatuan Guru Besar SJKC Selangor, celebrating tradition and community.

IOI Mall Kulai’s “Thriving Prosperity” turns the mall into a cultural hub. Visitors can watch Acrobatic Lion Dances, Face Changing shows, and 24 Drums performances.
