Puchong folks, there will be a sensational buffet dinner near you this coming holy month of Ramadan. Four Points by Sheraton Puchong invites guests to savour Malaysia’s favourite dishes from yesteryear at its all-day dining restaurant, The Eatery, which is led by its Sous Chef, Muhamad Khairul Ashraf Mohd Pilus. The rates here are affordable, and one may expect to be entertained by live performances while dining in.
Below are some of the highlights from the Citarasa Warisan buffet dinner menu that we’ve tried, and think you should try:
The culinary team at The Eatery is being generous with its chunky skewered goodies, featuring lean and perfectly marinated meats including chicken, mutton, beef, prawn and our personal favourite, venison. Pair up these scrumptious satays with chunky and spicy peanut sauce, sliced onions and cucumbers as well as fluffy nasi impit (compressed rice) to give your meal a full “kick”.
Why have one when you can try four types of laksa in one seating? Get your chopsticks skill ready as you devour bowl after bowl of various flavoured laksa that The Eatery is offering in its ‘Citarasa Warisan’ buffet spread, including assam laksa, Nyonya laksa, Johor laksa and curry laksa. Sluuurrp!
The hotel’s Sous Chef, Muhamad Khairul Ashraf Mohd Pilus, is bringing the northern state most-beloved meal to the table: nasi kandar. A plate (or two) of steamed white rice is served with three kinds of thick and creamy gravies including fish curry, beef kurma and ayam masak kicap along with crispy deep-fried chicken. Oh it’s so simple yet so heavenly!
Nothing kicks start your mood for Eid more than indulging in festive delicacies such as dodol. There are two flavours available at The Eatery – original and pandan – with each full of ooey gooey goodness and made in house by the talented culinary team.
On top of these, guests may also choose over a hundred other selections including roast lamb (kambing bakar), chicken briyani, lamb stew, beef stewed with coconut cream (daging masak lemak cili padi), bone broth (sup tulang) as well Ramadan favourites such as roti john (with minced chicken or sardine filling), bubur lambuk and murtabak. The stalls, on the other hand, offer chef’s local highlights like gado-gado, roasted chicken salad, fresh greens with shrimp paste (ulam-ulaman dan belacan), yong tau foo, and Nyonya-styled acar.

The ‘Citarasa Warisan’ spread will be available from 6 May to 3 June 2019, priced at MYR130 nett per adult and MYR65 nett per child aged 4 to 12 years old. Early bird vouchers are available from now till 12 May 2019, as well as 1 June to 3 June 2019 at MYR78 nett per adult and MYR39 nett per child aged 4 to 12 years old.
